ISLAMABAD: The Private Power Infrastructure Board (PPIB) on Wednesday approved private sector hydropower projects to meet the future energy needs on fast track basis, however final approval would be given in the next Economic Coordination Committee’s meeting.
The Minister for Water and Power Naveed Qamar stated this while chairing the 91st meeting of the board of PPIB held here at its secretariat. 
The minister further informed that the said framework has been developed in consultation with all provinces and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.  Full story
