Pakistan, Tajikistan sign trade protocol |

Federal Minster for Privatisation Syed Naveed Qamar and Minister of Energy Tajikistan Gul Sherali signed a protocol in Dushanbe for cooperation in different fields, which was concluded after two comprehensive sessions. He was on an official visit to Tajikistan to attend the fourth session of the Pakistan-Tajikistan Joint Ministerial Commission (JMC), said a statement issued on March 2, 2011. The protocol provides for bilateral cooperation in various fields including agriculture, education, energy, health, tourism, banking, communications, and combating drug trafficking. At the JMC session held at Dushanbe, both the ministers also reviewed bilateral relations, identified areas of cooperation and suggested ways and means to strengthen the existing ties. The two leaders emphasised the early completion and implementation of CASA-1000 project and expressed their readiness towards mutually beneficial cooperation in all fields, particularly in the domain of economy, energy, trade and infrastructure.
