ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani on Monday issued directives to ensure uninterrupted gas supply for five days a week to the industrial sector, particularly the textile segment of Punjab, and strict implementation of the Economic Coordination Committee’s (ECC) decision.

The directive was issued after a meeting at the PM’s Secretariat called by the prime minister to review the gas supply situation. Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Petroleum and Natural Resources Minister Syed Naveed Qamar, Water and Power Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, All-Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) Chairman Gohar Ejaz and officials from the ministries concerned attended the meeting.
