SCCI TRADE DELEGATION TO VISIT PITEX 2010 EXHIBITION AT AMRITSAR, INDIA

Riding on the heralding success of PITEX 09, PHD Chamber is organizing Punjab International Trade Expo 2010 (PITEX 2010) from 8th to 12th December 2010 for the third consecutive year at Amritsar.
PHD Chamber is organizing this 5-day mega Trade Exhibition in collaboration with the Punjab government as the host state. The fair shall be organized at Ranjit Avenue, Ajnala Road, Amritsar. The event is being supported by Shawl Club, TexStyles Manufacturers Association, TMA National Small Industries Corporation, NSIC, Punjab Technical University, PTU and Knitwear Club.
This would be Chamber’s fifth such endeavour to boost trade and industry in the region besides providing a platform to showcase Indian goods and products at the international level. The event would render an integrated approach to serve as a generator of economic growth and development and to help achieve the overall economic development objectives.
The 5-day mega event would also showcase traditional handicrafts, embroideries, TexStyles, and electronic equipment of various countries to promote mutual understanding and cooperation on the trade front.
PITEX 09 was able to generate a lot of trade activity which was the need of the hour because of the global meltdown. Business North Indias Biggest International Exposition enquiries worth over Rs 200 Crore were generated during PITEX 09. PITEX 09 saw over 2 Lakh visitors. Onyx marble artifacts, TexStyles, from Pakistan, gift items, souvenirs from Thailand and jewelry from Myanmar were the major attractions for the visitors.
