Sindh has reservations on Chashma-Jhelum power house
 Muzaffar Hameed May 3, 2010, 07:03:46 AM

KARACHI (June 30 2009): Sindh Minister for Information Shazia Marri has said that Sindh has reservations on construction of power house on Chashma-Jhlum Link Canal and Prime Minister and Federal Minister for Water and Power would be informed about this. She said there is no impediment in the revival of Commissionarate system. However, Peoples Party is awaiting the opinion of coalition partners for maintaining the environment of reconciliation so that not only legislation is carried out unanimously but its implementation is also ensured. Briefing newsmen after Sindh Assembly session on Monday, the Minister said that the statement of Minister for Irrigation and Power, Syed Murad Ali Shah in relation to construction of powerhouse at Chashma-Jhluum Link Canal is self-explanatory. She said that Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah will apprise the Prime Minister and Federal Minister about their reservations and hopefully the Federal Government will remove our reservations. Shazia Marri said that consultation is continuing with the coalition party on Bills for revival of Commissionorate system and amenity plots and hopefully the two bills will got be passed from the Assembly unanimously. She said that when all political parties will agree, the implementation of law will become easy. The Minister said that we are facing the results of differences, which previous government had tried to create to separate Karachi from Sindh. But, she said, our demand still today is that condition of domicile for admission to all educational institutions in Karachi be done away with and every one be given equal opportunity of education. It is the effort of democratic government that do away with discrimination on account of cast, colour and creed, environment of reconciliation be established and it was with this purpose the condition of domicile for admission in educational institutions in Karachi is being done away with.
