We have been informed by the Acting Secretary General, FPCCI, Karachi that during the visit of Chairman Senate of Pakistan Syed Nayyer Hussain Bukkhari and Eng Khurram Dastagir Khan, Minister for Commerce and Textile Industry (MoC&TI) to Poland in July and November 2013 respectively, Deputy Prime Minster /Minister of Economy of Poland Mr. Janusz Piechocinski offered to host Pakistan Central European Economic Cooperation Forum (PCEECF) during European Economic Congress (EEC) being held on 7 - 9 May, 2014 at Katowice, a major industrial city in the South West Poland. 

 

The offer has been accepted by Pakistani side scheduling PCEECF on 8th May, 2014. Hence FPCCI, TDAP and Pakistan Embassy in Warsaw Poland are collaborating for formation of a delegation of 50 to 60 businessmen representing top Pakistani companies preferably from textiles and textile products, leather and leather products, sports goods, surgical-instruments, chemicals, agro food products, gems and jewelry, light engineering products, energy, and coal sectors, marble and onyx, wooden furniture and handicrafts, etc.

 

Pakistan Embassy has informed that about 600 top Polish and European companies are expected to participate in the Forum who would like to have B2B meetings with Pakistani companies for three days of the congress on the side lines of EEC. The visit of delegates will be of great significant importance as it will be the first major activity in European by Pakistan after having GSP Plus status. Pakistani companies should make maximum use of this opportunity by having aggressive interaction with European companies on the said event.

 

Those members who are interested to join the trade delegation are requested to submit the enclosed form under covering letter of their company along-with the following documents/information by 20th March 2014.

 

1-      Personal and Company profiles.

2-      Personal and Company Bank Statement.

3-      Passport copies of the applicant.

4-      Copy of Chamber Certificate/ Trade Association.

5-      Copy of NTN certificate.

6-      Four color photographs

7-      Export performance certificate.

8-      Business Interest.

9-      It is mandatory for all applicants to become the member of the Pakistan-Poland Business council of FPCCI. Membership form is enclosed which may be submitted with membership fee Rs 3000 in the form of Pay order /Demand Draft favoring  "Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry"

 

10-  Participation fee is Rs. 15,000/- to be paid through a pay order in the name of "Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry". It is to be noted that after ion if application is withdrawn then participation will be non-refundable. 

 

The visit will be on self-finance basis all expenses on account of air-tickets, travelling and hoteling will be borne by the delegates themselves. The applicant must have previously travelled to Europe or USA or Canada or Australia or Japan. 

 

The delegation is also expected to proceed to Czech Republic after the visit to Poland. Itinerary and hotel information will be intimated to members on receipt of their interest. Those applicants who have already applied for the subject delegation may submit the above documents/requirements/payments if not already submitted. FPCCI reserves the rights to reject any application.
