Supply of gas: Pepco accuses SNGPL of giving priority to IPPs

 ISLAMABAD  (October 29, 2010) : Pakistan Electric Supply Company (Pepco) has accused Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited (SNGPL) of giving preference to Independent Power Producers (IPPs) over public sector's power plants. In a letter to Pepco's top brass, Managing Director, SNGPL, had indicated that short supply constraints account for SNGPL's inability to supply gas to Pepco, Gencos and Kapco. Full Story
