Lahore: The Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry on Friday urged the Agribusiness Support Fund (ASF) to establish “Knowledge Centres” to equip poor farmers with latest information about Agri technology, hybrid seeds and water management. 

The LCCI President Farooq Iftikhar was talking to a three-member ASF delegation led by Ayesha Gulzar. LCCI Vice President Mian Abuzar Shad, former Senior Vice President Abdul Basit, Mohammad Anwar and Dr. Shahid Raza also spoke on the occasion.

While appreciating the efforts of ASF, the LCCI President said that Agribusiness Support Fund should also allocate funds for development of modern storage facilities in Pakistan as a huge quantity of produce goes waste because of unavailability of modern facilities. Read more
