ISLAMABAD, Dec 27: Foreign investors have called upon the government to contain piracy and counterfeiting of registered brands as it was not only damaging brand names, but also causing loss to businesses.

At a meeting with the chairman of IPO-Pakistan, Hameedullah Jan Afridi, a delegation of American Business Council (ABC) and Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce & Industry (OICCI) demanded steps for improvement in the implementation of Intellectual Property Rights in Pakistan.

The participants gave suggestions and were assured by the IPO chairman that Pakistan has great potential for local and foreign investment. Full story
