70 MW  of  captive power plants that have been shut down due to non availability of gas in the sheikhupura region only . An investment of over  70 million dollars is lying retundant while gas in being supplied to cng plants for cars. These plants are capable of producing electricity at under rs 8/ unit but the government has chosen to shut them down and instead buy very expensive electricity from the turkish power plant  at rs 41/unit. also that plant is only producing 51 MW.With such smart policies of the government it is only a matter of time before we totally collapse as a country. Continued
