ISLAMABAD: Federal Finance Minister Abdul Hafeez Shaikh has asked the Economic Affairs Division and the Ministry of Commerce to prepare a full list of MoUs signed, so far, with different countries, particularly with China.
Chairing a meeting of Pakistan-China Portfolio Review meeting, the minister also stated that the list must contain financial implications of these MoUs, their present stage and magnitude after these projects materialise.
He also asked for the inclusion of a five-year plan.
He also stressed the need for greater private sector cooperation between Pakistan and China to enhance economic ties.
China provides financing to Pakistan in the form of grants, concessional loans, preferential buyer’s credit and export and buyer’s credit amounting to $1.748 billion and RMB 270 million. Ful story |
