Director Coordination, National Logistic Cell (NLC), Brig Mushtaq Bhatti has assured Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KPCCI) that difficulties being faced by business community dealing in Afghan Transit Trade would be removed at all cost. Talking with a delegation of KPCCI led by Zia-ul-Haq Sarhadi including Abdul Hameed Gurwara and Farood Ahmad, he said NLC would provide all possible facilities to the traders dealing in Afghan Transit Trade. He also apprised them that NLC has purchased new trucks and after July of current year the traders will not face any problem in regard with transportation of their goods from Karachi to Torkhem. The delegation members informed Director Coordination NLC about the problems being faced by them including non-availability of NLC trucks, levy of charges on trucks of HMT parked in private parking and non-cooperation of staffers of NLC deputed by Amangar Dryport. They told him that due to non provision of facilities the business of Afghan Transit Trade is shifting to Iran from Bandar Abbas port as a result of which government will not only face loss of billion of rupees in revenue collection, but thousands of laborers and people associated with this business will lose employment.
