Training programme for journalists held |

ISLAMABAD (June 22 2010): Media Fellowship Programme 2010 conducted by Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Media University Project, under Ministry of Information & Broadcasting arranged a information training for the journalists of different organisations at Information Services academy (ISA) during June 16-19. The participants included from prominent news agencies like NNI, NNA, INP, and mostly from APP Islamabad took active part in the programme.
The participants were given lectures on important phases of news editing, feature writing and conflict reporting by renowned media persons, journalists and analysts. All the invitees and teachers had prepared their lectures on topics such as fundamentals of journalism, role of news agencies, communication techniques, feature writing, Media & democracy etc.
After giving self-introduction by each and every participants the formal session of lectures delivering on journalism started. Journalists Atif Afzal, Afzal Khan, Faris Rehman, Sarwar Rao, Afzal Bajwa, Shafqat Munir Dr Aslam Pervaiz, Zafferullah Khan, Jenny Mathews and others were given the honours to share their life experience and achievements on the topics of development journalism.
Jenny Methews from AFP talked much about experiences in the field of conflict reporting. She dicussed different dimensions of the reporting, agencies role in dissemination of the information through the media. Jenny said new agencies have its own outlets and online journalism is perspective journalism now a days.
