KARACHI: Malaysia has vast opportunities of trade and investment and Pakistani private sector has been offered low priced industrial land with all required infrastructure and utilities.

During a meeting with nine-member delegation of Korangi Association of Trade and Industry, officials of Melaka Investment Authority informed them that there is a vast potential of business opportunities in Malaysia and the authority is offering industrial lands at very competitive rates with all the basic amenities like water, electricity.

According to KATI release here on Monday, Pakistani industrialists were encouraged to avail this opportunity and establish industrial units in these state of the art industrial clusters.

KATI’s nine-members trade delegation is led by Chairman of the Association, Razzak Hashim Paracha, and Senator Abdul Haseeb Khan. It includes Masood Naqi, Syed Johar Ali Qandhari, Ehteshamuddin, Sheikh Mohammad Yousuf, Tariq Malik and Daniyal Saleem.

The Chairman KATI endorsed that there was a huge potential for joint ventures and other trade avenues between Pakistan and Malaysia. National Industrial Park Limited, a similar venture in Pakistan also offers industrial lands for potential entrepreneurs at ideal locations at very competitive rates. Pakistan, in spite of all odds, has achieved a GDP growth rate of 4.5 percent, which is remarkable.

He suggested that Malaysian businessmen should come forward to establish industrial units in Pakistan.

The delegation will meet with Malaysian Development Authority on Tuesday to discuss the business potential between the two countries. This authority is responsible for the promotion of trade and business for Malaysia.Times
