The seminar was organized by IESCO in collaboration with National Energy Conservation Centre (ENERCON) and Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry. A large number of industrialists and traders attended the event. IESCO Chief said government was making serious efforts to improve power generation and promote energy conservation in order to bridge the demand supply gap. He said industrial sector was consuming about 38per cent of the nation’s commercial energy and it should contribute towards energy saving that would reduce energy wastage, improve productivity and international competitiveness of our economy. He said IESCO was in process of rehabilitating power network and streetlights in the local markets to address the power supply issues of business community. Read more
