Chief Minister of Punjab
Government of the Punjab
C. M. Office, Lahore
Subject: Prior Flood Information to Save the People from Damages
Dear Sir,
We avail this opportunity to present our compliments to you at C.M Office Lahore.
You will appreciate that the members of the Executive Committee of Sheikhupura Chamber of commerce & Industry (SCCI) has discussed in its meeting various problems related to flood and approached the DCO Sheikhupura to take appropriate measures to save the citizen and industrialists from expected losses of flood.
You may recall that last year under your instructions, the District Administration helped the flood victims and provided them food and rescue services to save their property, crops and animals etc. No doubt last year people sustained heavy financial losses as rainy and flood water entered into factories and ruined their raw Materials, Electric Motors, Machines, Office Equipment, Computers and Records etc.
We salute your vision as District Administration Sheikhupura now swinging ponderously into action and in some areas Army has step-in to assist the people and District Administration. A very effective system has placed into Pakistan effectively to deal with the flood problems especially in Punjab.
Mr. Ali Jan Khan DCO Sheikhupura has also set new trends and approached the Office Bearers of Sheikhupura Chamber of Commerce and Industry including the undersigned and personally provided flood related information so as this information could reach to concern industrialists in the District Sheikhupura well before time, enable them to make suitable arrangements to save their raw materials, expensive machinery, computers and other items from rainy and flood water. The behavior of District Administration is not only praiseworthy but need to be followed by other District Administration in whole Punjab.
We therefore, request you to kindly direct all the DCO’s in Punjab to approach the Office Bearers of the different Chambers of Commerce & Industry and Trade Bodies in their respective areas and pass similar information, so that maximum citizen and Industrials could be saved from expected losses of lives, property and animals. Your early action in this regards will highly be appreciated.
Assuring you of our best services,
Best Regards,
Manzoor ul Haq Malik
